A Level Work

This is a starting point for one of my projects called Structures, which I based around flowers. I have experimented with different media such as gouache paint, acrylic paint, inks, pencils and black pens.

This board contains different composition ideas for my flower print. I used an octagon, triangle and diamond to see what looks most effective and how each tessellates.

This board contains 5 different colour ways for my flower print project. I also did some colour swatches to see which tones of colour I could use.

This is my final piece of my flower print project. This is a hand done silk screen print and overall I used around 10 colours.

This is a selection of samples that I produced when making my bodice. My topic was surfaces, so I decided to have tree bark as my main title. I made around 15 different samples to see which would be most effective and most suited for my project.

On this board are some different colour ways for my bodice. There are also some colour swatches to experiment and see the different shades of colour together. I took pictures of my bodice modelled on someone else so I could see the final product as a whole.

This is a close up image of my bodice. In this picture I have used free applique overlapping layered fabrics and cut work applique.

These are different poster designs that I have produced for my current Graphics project. I am designing a poster advertising a Safari holiday.

This is a close up image that i painted for one of my posters. I have used gouache paint because the texture of the paint makes the painting look more realistic.

These are my different colour ways for my project I'm doing at the moment.  I painted each of the original designs and then scanned them onto the computer to see what the designs would look like tessellated.

This is what I am working on at the moment. This is a hand done silk screen print. My print is based around the peacock and how it is used in textile design. I am planning on using around 20 colours.

This is a close up image of my peacock print so far.
