Whilst researching into this I came across a designer called Amy Winters who designs for Rainbow Winters. I was really inspired by all of Amy Winters designs and loved the ideas she came up with.
This is one of my favourite designs by Amy Winters. The dress is called 'The Rainforest Dress' and is a water reactive and sun reactive dress. The first picture shows how the dress starts off and the picture underneath shows the end result after the dress has changed. The water reactive ink dissappears revealing the colour underneath the dress whilst the sun reactive ink turns purple. What I particularly like about this piece are the bright vibrant colours.
Squid London is a London based brand designing and creating colour clothing. Whilst researching into the design company I came across some colour changing clothing that I thought would eb relevant to our project.
The coat below is covered in appliques which creates a monochrome effect however when the rain hits the coat it changes colour. What I really like about this piece is the colourful outcome afterwards.
Squid London also produced a shower curtain that changes when the water hits it. When the water hits the black and white areas it turns colourful. As the water drys up the shower curtain goes back to being black and white.
Below is a swimsuit that changes due to certain conditions. Its printed with pigments called thermochromatic/photocromatic ink that changes pattern due to conditions. The pattern changes from geometric print to a decorative pattern.
